Information for the 2015 National Cadet Competition

NCC showcases the full range of challenges in cadet life.  This page presents preliminary information for your planning purposes.  In depth information will be posted by 31 December.  

NCC teams will consist of 6 cadets and 2 escorts

  • Cadets can be of any CAP grade (cadet officers are allowed to be on the team)
  • Escorts can be of either gender (no requirement for same gender as cadets on the team)

NCC Core Events for 2015

  • Indoor Color Guard Practical
  • Outdoor Color Guard Practical
  • Written Exam - Leadership and Aerospace through the Mitchell Award, the CAP Uniform Manual (CAPM 39-1), and the Drill and Ceremonies Manual, (AFMAN 36-2203)
  • CPFT - All 4 events
  • Uniform - Practical and Spot Inspection

NCC Electives for 2015

  • Speech - Impromptu and Extemporaneous
  • Rocketry
  • O-Course
  • Jeopardy - All ranks & New-comers divisions

Team scores for overall competition will not include electives.  Electives will be graded separately and receive awards accordingly.

1 Feb Final Competition Curriculum posted
1 - 15 Oct   Registration of teams (through e-Services)
1 Nov   Announce elective slotting
   Submit travel Itineraries to NHQ
27 Dec  Staff travels to Maxwell AFB
29 Dec  Teams travel to Maxwell AFB (via ATL, BHM or MGM)
2 Jan  Staff and Teams leave for home

NHQ will support travel to the Montgomery, Birmingham and Atlanta airports.  (NHQ will offset travel expenses rather than paying in full)
