Information from 2013 competition
We are looking forward to seeing you in the next week for the National Cadet Competition! The following is some information that will help in you any final arrangements or questions you may have. At your convenience, please review the NCC Team Welcome Memo.
Please ensure that you have provided the most recent copy of your team roster to Maj Beth Dumont. If you have not submitted your latest, please do so ASAP. Rosters were released in an email to Team Escorts - those were the most current on-file with NCC.
Please verify your cell phone number on the NCCF1 so that we can ensure we have an up-to-date contact roster.
Banquet/Awards Ceremony Note
Many teams have inquired on the status of the banquet. We will NOT be hosting a banquet this year, but we WILL have an awards ceremony. There will be a catered dinner/BBQ on site at Wright State University and if extra tickets are made available, we will notify you so parents may purchase tickets, and at what cost.
The awards ceremony will take place on Wright State University’s campus, just a short walk after our evening meal. The awards ceremony will be in Blues.
Everyone needs to bring a signed WSU Liability Waiver (per individual, not per team) to be allowed to stay on the WSU campus. Minors will need to have a parental signature.
Please ensure your team and escorts are safety current, as well as having a current membership. Failure to have completed these requireme is grounds to DENY participation.
If there questions, comments, concerns, please contact Maj Beth Dumont, NCC Operations Officer.
- Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Phone: 231.492.2088
- Everyone goes home in the same or better condition than when we arrived.
- Everything we use is returned in better condition than when we received it.
- Safety and teamwork are emphasized throughout the competition.
Commitment to Each Other
The competition staff endeavors to provide a safe environment for all activities and events. It is our responsibility to take care of event and facility concerns. However, we cannot fix what we do not know about. So please tell us your concerns. The team escorts and members are responsible for their own personal safety, behavior, and decisions. All of us collectively are responsible for watching out for ourselves and each other. Please report any concerns you have about safety to the Safety Officer, Lt Col Mike Bodnarik.
If an incident occurs, report the occurrence to competition staff in the order listed below. Team Escort(s) are responsible for completing all safety/mishap reporting to National Headquarters for members of their teams, in the event of a mishap.
For Mishap Reporting or safety concerns, please call in this order:
- Safety Officer (Lt Col Mike Bodnarik): 513.324.4046
- Operations (Maj Beth Dumont): 231.492.2088
